WTF Is Biltong?
Our biltong is bite-sized pieces of organic grass-fed & finished Australian beef. We use no bulls#&t ingredients and air-dry it slowly over several days - giving it a softer, juicier and more natural flavour compared to jerky. It’s high protein and sugar free - you could find each ingredient in your own pantry.

HOW WE MAKE BILTONG
GOT QUESTIONS?
Biltong is a traditional South African air-dried meat snack. Beef steaks are marinated in a leisurely bath of vinegar and simple spices, then hung to slowly air-dry over 4-7 days. This gives biltong a more juicy flavour and tender texture compared to jerky.
Once dried, the steaks are sliced into bite-sized pieces - leaving you with a convenient, high-protein and sugar-free snack.

Biltong and beef jerky differ in taste, texture and how they’re made. Jerky is typically made using thin slices of lean meat and sugary marinades, after which it’s dried for a few hours at high temperatures (70ºC) - resulting in a chewy end product.
This differs from biltong where the fat is kept on the meat and it’s seasoned with simple ingredients you’d find in your pantry - just vinegar and spices. The steaks are air-dried at ambient temperature (25ºC) over 4 - 7 days, and then sliced into tender, bite-sized pieces.

Our biltong is vacuum-sealed in a zero-oxygen environment which allows it to have a 12 month shelf life. Once opened, it’s best kept cool in the pantry or fridge and consumed within 14 days.
It can also be stored in a breathable brown paper bag (avoid plastic), as airflow dries the product out more while maintaining its delicious flavour. You can also chuck it in the freezer to extend the shelf life almost indefinitely.

If you've made it this far, you probably already know the answer. Our biltong is minimally processed, sugar-free and contains just 3 ingredients: grass-fed beef, vinegar and spices.
It’s one of the highest-protein snacks in the world - there’s 45g of protein per 100g of biltong, which is roughly double the protein content of tuna. Biltong is also nutrient-dense, as it’s a great source of iron, potassium and vitamin B12 - all the good stuff.
Whether you’re keto, paleo, carnivore or a non-dieter, you might just find our biltong is the healthy snack you’ve been searching for.
We make our biltong from whole cuts of grass-fed & finished beef and intentionally leave the natural fat on the meat for extra flavour and texture. It tastes like a steak, and just like eating a steak, our biltong does need to be chewed. If you can't handle the chew or need a 100% lean meat, this product is not for you.
